Motherhood didn’t replace my creativity.

For a while, I thought I had to choose between nurturing my family and nurturing the parts of myself that longed to create.
But I’ve learned that both can exist together.

This season has taught me to embrace curiosity again and to make space for the things that create joy, even in the midst of everyday motherhood.

To any mother who feels the pull to create, build, dream, or begin something new: give yourself permission to explore.

Lavender was the inspiration behind the Calm of Summer Collection.
I remember how I didn’t expect my postpartum recovery to go the way it did. I intensely relied on the formulas I created with what little mental capacity I had during that time.
However, I always remembered how calm lavender made me.
With its healing aromatic properties of linalool and linalyl acetate, which travels directly to our nervous system, lowering blood pressure and heart rate, it was my go to.
There were many extraordinary moments of sobbing while blending, pouring, and calculating, knowing what I created that helped myself, may help others too.

During the beginning stages of my postpartum journey, I was recovering from another c-section and somehow developed postpartum preeclampsia. This wasn’t evident until I had a viral infection that depleted my electrolytes so much that I couldn’t think and my brain was “vibrating”. This all led me to an overnight visit to the hospital.

When I went home to recover, I realized how sad I’d become. My mood was apparent to everyone around me, and I couldn’t smile at the small moments with my newborn. All I could think of was I needed something to help my mood. Now.

My essential oils collection is what navigated me into the right direction. Postpartum is not just an uphill journey. I thought I was progressing at first, and then I literally went rolling down the hill again.

I can’t wait to share with you what's coming.
